A.R.T.E.M.I.S. - Achieving Reinforcement in Training of Employees and Managing Innovation in South – Eastern Europe
The basic purpose of the new proposal for the encounter of the consequences of the impact of enlargement in four Greek Regions (Central Macedonia, Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, Southern Aegean and Northern Aegean) bordering with the acceding and candidate countries (Bulgaria and Turkey) is the development of the Human Capital through the improvement of training and skills.
More specifically the proposed activities aim to:
The better preparation of the vulnerable groups of the labour force (unskilled employees, young people, and women) in order to face the impact of enlargement in crucial economic sectors related to the enlargement procedure, through the development and implementation of training programs. These training programs are going to provide the beneficiaries with new qualified skills in order to improve their capability and ensure their position in the labour market in fields and professions in which each region has a competitive advantage. These training programs are going to be jointly designed from both the business and the academic community in order to focus on competitive business sectors which are expected to create a large number of new job vacancies (e-commerce)
The training of trainers in new subjects of training in order to have the capability to train the employees in new leading sectors in every region in both competitiveness level and in the level of the creation of new job vacancies.
The networking of the social partners in Greek border Regions of Central Macedonia, Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, Southern Aegean and Northern Aegean and the border regions in Bulgaria and Turkey. This networking aims to the formulation of the proper strategies in order to face the impact of enlargement on the cross border labour markets.
The improvement of the information about new job vacancies as well as for all the relevant issues related to the employment in the regional labour markets.
ACTIVITIES
The ativities under the framework of the above aims are the following:
1: Regional Competitiveness studies
2: Design, preparation and implementation of Intra-, Inter-Regional and Cross-Border Networks
3: Design, development and elaboration of a transnational Multilanguage “Job Information System” (JIS) and of an electronic Portal of the project
4: Design, preparation and implementation of Trainers Training Seminars (TTSs)
5: Preparation and execution of Cross-Border Field Study Visits
6: Design, preparation and elaboration of short-term pilot work placements
7: Preparation and implementation of one pan-European Conference, four regional and two cross border Conferences
8: Project Management, Monitoring and Evaluation
